Full Time: Biology Teacher

We are seeking to fill a position for a Biology Teacher. Candidates for this position should be dedicated to helping students grow spiritually, academically, and socially. Bishop Luers is committed to lifelong learning and wants applicants who are dedicated to professional development and collaboration.  Qualified applicants should have or be able to obtain an Indiana teaching license in biology. This job requires someone who can effectively plan, implement, and assess for learning in a variety of biology/science classes, including all levels of biology, and potentially environmental science. Teachers of science are expected to incorporate hands on activities/labs into the curriculum. Applicants should have a strong commitment to helping students grow spiritually, academically, and socially as well as be dedicated to helping all students succeed according to individual learning needs. Candidates do not need to be Catholic, but must be willing to live by and support the teachings of the Catholic Church for our students.This individual must be able to incorporate Gospel values into the curriculum and be dedicated to the mission and vision of Bishop Luers High School. The starting date for this position is August 2015.

Part Time: Business Teacher / Future Business Leaders of America Moderator

This position is for a part-time high school business teacher, with the potential for computer classes. Teachers are expected to implement Diocesan curriculum, which includes the integration of Catholic Identity into the curriculum. This job requires someone who can effectively plan, implement, and assess for learning in a variety of business classes, including Into to Business, Accounting, Business and Personal Law, and potentially computer applications. Currently, our Intro to business is dual credit. Individuals with a Master's in Business who are or can be approved for dual credit are preferred, but not required. Qualified applicants should have or be able to obtain an Indiana teaching license in business. Credentials for technology are preferred, but not required. Applicants should have a strong commitment to helping students grow spiritually, academically, and socially as well as be dedicated to helping all students succeed according to individual learning needs. Part Time: Guidance Administrative Assistant

This position provides administrative assistance to the high school guidance office. Primary responsibilities include managing student records, maintaining the student database, submitting state reports, facilitating standardized testing, and assisting with guidance-related events. This position coordinates general school guidance operations and provides various student services, such as facilitating college visits, maintaining college scholarship information, preparing guidance communications , and issuing work permits. Successful candidates will have a keen sense of detail and organization, understand the importance of confidentiality, and have well-developed computer skills, including Excel, Word, and database management.

Contracted: Head Girls Soccer Coach

A knowledgeable coach with high character who will guide athletes in sport, while holding to the teachings of the Catholic Church.  High school coaching experience preferred, but not necessary. Candidates should hold or have the ability to obtain CPR and AED certification and NFHS Concussion Training Certifications.
