National Honor Society members presented a $423 check to Kate's Kart Director Krista Layman this morning. Bishop Luers High School had a $1 dress-down day to raise funds for this non-profit organization, which delivers books to hospitalized children in Northeast Indiana. On Friday, October 4, 43 students from Mrs. Carroll’s Dual Credit courses had the exciting opportunity to visit Purdue Fort Wayne. During the visit, students toured various campus buildings, including the student housing facilities, to get a firsthand look at university life.
The day also featured a pizza lunch, where several department chairs from the Doermer School of Business spoke about the diverse academic opportunities available to students.

The Spell Bowl team finished 1st in Class 3 at the area meet at Homestead High School Monday evening. Elizabeth Stachofsky had a “near perfect” round to help Bishop Luers in their come from behind victory. Overall, the team finished 12th out of 33 schools statewide.
During the season, we have had multiple students achieve personal best rounds. Nick Baker has scored “near perfect” in two virtual competitions and Ella Funk had a near perfect round at the in person meet at New Haven High School.
Congratulations to the entire team on a successful season!
