Below is a message from Tommy McComb (Class of 2024) about the St. Francis Teaching Garden at Bishop Luers High School. Thank you Tommy! Oh how far we’ve grown and I mean that quite literally. Just under a year ago, this was just a plot of grass with no garden in sight. However, after the Bishop Luers community wholeheartedly responded to the fundraiser, we had more than enough funding to begin building. After hours of planning, shoveling, measuring, towing, assembling, and so much more, the garden set ready to be planted and enjoyed by many to come. In its existence it has hosted 1st grade classes excited to learn more about gardening, Girl Scouts preparing to receive their gardening patches, and the newly formed Bishop Luers garden group ready to get some service hours in. And on a personal note, this garden has meant so much to me not only as a student but now as a Bishop Luers alum preparing to enter college in the fall. As I embark on my next adventure, I am incredibly proud to look back and see what an amazing experience this has been and I hope it will be a lasting symbol of my time at Luers. Looking to the future, I am excited to see what the Bishop Luers gardening group has in store for the garden’s future and I am extremely grateful for Key Club and National Honors Society for working with me and providing volunteers to help the garden be as successful as possible. ALSO IMPORTANT NOTE: Feel free to come by and pick any produce you need. If you are able to offer a donation, please do. There will be a donation box and a book to record what you take. However, if you cannot, still take what you need. This garden is for you! I still ask that you are respectful and take only as much as you need. Senior Parking Spot Painting is coming up soon! - Who can Purchase: Current seniors can purchase a reserved parking space for the 2024-2025 school year. - Where to Purchase: You may purchase a reserved parking space for $40 in the Business Office. **This will be in addition to the $45 parking pass fee.** - When can you paint? Seniors may paint their parking spot on Saturday, August 3 from 10am-3pm. All painting must be completed by August 4th. - Additional Information: All artwork must use appropriate language and imagery. Pre-K through 8th grade participants are enjoying the second day of Show Choir Camp! The camp will conclude on Friday, July 26, with a performance at 11 am at Bishop Luers High School. #LuersSpirit

Time to purchase athletic passes! Go Knights! ALL athletic events are $7 including lower level events. Athletic passes are available to purchase here: https://athletics.bishopluers.org/Tickets/Passes. The Punch Passes are also available in the Business Office. The All Sport Passes will be available in the Business Office in the next few weeks. 10 Game Punch Pass: $60 - These are transferrable. Not valid during post season. Athletic All Sport Pass: $110 - Single use per person gets you in to ALL home football, volleyball, soccer, basketball, wrestling and track events. Not valid during post season. We have over of 40 FALL home events and over 20 WINTER home events. Remember – current BLHS students get into home games with their student ID’s. #LuersSpirit

Join us in celebrating our 2023-2024 State Championship teams as they march in the Three Rivers Festival Parade this weekend! Our Football team, Girls' Basketball team, and two of our Academic Super Bowl Teams (English and Interdisciplinary) all won State Titles this past year. Location and Parade Route: The parade starts at 10am at the intersection of Rockhill and W. Wayne Street in Fort Wayne, IN. It will continue on Wayne, make a left onto Fairfield Ave, and a right onto Berry Street. Finally, they will turn left onto S. Calhoun Street and continue until Superior Street. #LuersSpirit
