This past Monday, the Bishop Luers High School NHS Chapter visited Camp Potawatomi. The students learned that while working by yourself can seem like a good option, teamwork is key to succeeding. These students trusted each other’s skills and capabilities to be victorious in various activities at camp.

Yesterday Bishop Luers High School hosted Mission Day for Catholic school teachers and staff on the Fort Wayne side of our diocese. All gathered in the gymnasium for the Keynote Address, "Encountering the Transcendent: Catholic Education and the Eucharistic Revival," delivered by Father Patrick Mary Briscoe, O.P., the Editor of Our Sunday Visitor and a National Eucharistic Preacher.
Bishop Luers students were present to assist with Mass, celebrated by Most Reverend Bishop Kevin C. Rhoades. The Bishop Luers Choir provided the sacred music for Mass, and other students were altar servers.
Congratulations to all who received awards and recognition during Mission Day, especially the following Bishop Luers High School teachers and staff for their years of service in the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend:
Mr. Ebbeskotte and Mr. Schiffli - 5 years
Mrs. Allen - 10 years
Ms. Briggs - 25 years
Mrs. Isch - 35 years
Retirees:
Mrs. Billingsley - 11 years of service in our Diocese

Our prayers and condolences go out to the family of former Bishop Luers High School Principal Tiffany Albertson, who recently passed away. Tiffany served at BLHS from 2007-2017 in the roles of Principal and Assistant Principal. Tiffany was a caring and devoted principal to her students and staff, always willing to help others. She also served the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend as Assistant Principal and teacher at Bishop Dwenger High School. We pray that her soul is at rest in the Holy Spirit and for the comfort of her family.
Happy Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary! Bishop Luers High School celebrated this Holy Day of Obligation with the first All-School Mass of the Fall Semester. Following Mass, many students received honors during the Fall Awards Ceremony. Congratulations to all of our students! Our Lady, Queen of All Saints, pray for us!
